February has been a tough month weather-wise - lots of cold, lots of wet, bits of ice.  What with that and other weekend obligations, this is the first day we've managed to get out all month.  The day promised no rain and temperatures in the 30's.  At 7 am, the sun was up, the cardinals were calling, and there was a definite spring feel to the air.  I got out and rolling early and took the long route to Form Up through Oley, stopping at the Redners Quick Stop for gas and a quick cup of coffee.  At Form Up, Tim was getting out his boxer and Dave showed up on the 650 thumper so we were our own little BMW club this morning.

We headed to Kenhorst Fire Co. for breakfast but found them closed due to construction and had to head on the Meadowbrook Country Club.  Well, it's sort of in the country and appears to be a club but there's not much else to make you think "Country Club" here.  Breakfast was OK and thankfully large; I was hungrier than I thought and cleaned up pretty well.

After a lengthy catch up and chin wag we headed out for a quick ride around the northwest corner of the county.  Weather was clear and overcast.  The predominant color was gray with brown highlights, pretty standard late winter in Pennsylvania.  The roads were full of grit, often dictating the lines through the turns.  At least twice I felt a little slippage in the rear going through a turn.  Under the circumstances we turned on the heat, took it easy, and enjoyed the ride.  By mid-day we had put on 100+ miles and headed home to other weekend chores.
